Employee Spotlight - September/October 2007

Mandi Scott

When asked what she likes to do on her off hours as Brown’s Daytime Bakery Manager, Mandi Scott replies, “Bake!” “Baking is relaxing,” she says, and her passion for baking is evident in her work. So is her artistic talent! Mandi started her schooling as an art major! She still likes to draw and paint. She also enjoys camping.

A William Penn graduate, Mandi lives in the house she was raised in along with her younger brother, David (who is also a Brown’s bakery employee), and her yellow lab, Cody.
Mandi first worked at Brown’s as an intern in 1998 when she attended culinary school at the PA College of Technology in Williamsport. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Baking and Pastry and her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Since then, she has worked for a grocery store chain, as a wholesale food salesperson, and as pastry chef at a fine dining establishment.

Mandi says she came back to Brown’s because it’s the best fit for her. She enjoys the family environment and prefers the large volume of baked goods she can help produce. She also likes that Brown’s bakery is number one, and appreciates that the Brown’s give their supervisors a lot of input in determining what is offered in the store. We love what you have contributed, Mandi! You are a wonderful asset to our team.
