Missy Sweitzer
Missy Sweitzer ably fills the vital human resource part of Brown's team. She came to Brown's in 2006 from a job she enjoyed, but she longed to be closer to home and to enjoy her family's activities. Missy was employed 9 years by Community Banks and worked in their branch administration department in Harrisburg before coming to Brown's. A southern York County native, she graduated from Dallastown High in '85. During college, she worked the early morning sort from 3-8am at UPS. Missy received her associate's degree in business management from York College in 1987. Two weeks after college graudation, she married her high school sweetheart, Mark Sweitzer. They live only minutes from Brown's and are the proud and loving parents of Zachary, 19, a June graduate of Dallastown; Lauren, 16 and Emma, 15.
A big passion for Missy has been supporting Zach in wrestling and her daughters in field hockey and soccer...which she helped coach for many years. Missy is active in her church where she has helped with the couples ministry, retreats and women's organizations. Missy was also blessed to be able to help some Katrina victims in Mississippi this past January.
When asked about her very favorite getaway, Missy didn't hesitate! "It's on the beach with a cold drink in hand and a good inspirational book!" When asked about working at Brown's, she replies that what she likes best is the environment...it feels like home to employees and customers alike!
Missy believes that life is short and we should live every day to the fullest. Having lost some close friends, she realizes more than ever that one should live each day as though it is one's last. We need to find the positive and good in people and in all circumstances. last, but not least, she stresses that it's important to have fun in life!! Thank you, Missy! Your positive attitude is a blessing which inspires us all!
