The York County Area Agency on Aging, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, will distribute fruit and vegetable vouchers to qualifying seniors in Brown's Pavilion on August 20th. This program provides $20 in vouchers to eligible York County seniors to buy fresh fruit and vegetables from participating local farm markets.
Total gross annual 2019 household income must be at or below:
• $23,107/ single person
• $31,284/ couple - Both can receive the vouchers if within the eligible income limits for a couple
Other important information:
Vouchers are redeemable from June 1 through November 30, 2019.
Qualifying seniors must be York County residents, be 60 years of age by December 31, 2019, and can receive the vouchers only once per calendar year.
PROOF AGE AND RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED (PA Driver’s License or PA ID card is recommended).
Seniors living in a nursing home, personal care home, or any residential facility where meals are provided are ineligible to receive vouchers.
